A three-time former Pro Bowler has been recruited by the Buffalo Bills to assist out their injured defensive backfield. NFL Network Insider reported Tuesday night that Xavier Rhodes, a seasoned cornerback, had signed with the Bills.
After spending seven seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, where he earned three Pro Bowl choices and an All-Pro nomination, Rhodes spent the previous two seasons with the Indianapolis Colts. Rhodes visited the Bills earlier on Tuesday. In addition to battling with injuries to cornerbacks Tre’Davious White, Dane Jackson, and Christian Benford, Buffalo just lost safety Micah Hyde for the season.
Rhodes was selected by the Vikings in the first round of the 2013 NFL Draft, and in 2021, he started 13 games for the Colts. With his background and expertise, Rhodes will try to keep the Super Bowl hopefuls afloat as they wait for a number of corners to regain their full health.
