The news on Rashod Bateman keeps getting worse. Following Bateman’s decision to have surgery to fix his damaged foot, Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh declared on Thursday that the wide receiver’s 2022 season would be his last.
It was one of those circumstances in which Harbaugh had the final say. “After discussing it with his agent and family, he came to the conclusion that doing so would be in his best interests. Therefore, we concur with him. We comprehend his actions.”
Bateman has a foot ailment and was labeled as doubtful for last Thursday’s game against the Buccaneers. Bateman departed the game in the second quarter after participating in 13 snaps and did not come back. Harbaugh first referred to Bateman’s injury as a multi-week ailment. However, the coach also made it clear that there would be further talks about it and that a period on injured reserve was a possibility.
