Justin Fields, the quarterback for the Chicago Bears, dislocated his left shoulder on Sunday during the Bears’ loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 11. The dual-threat quarterback for the Bears was listed as day to day earlier in the day by head coach Matt Eberflus, and Rapoport said Fields’ availability for Week 12’s game against the New York Jets is still up in the air. Fields’ condition is therefore more understood, but his availability is unchanged.
Despite not missing any plays against the Falcons on Sunday due to hamstring stiffness, Fields was carried from the sideline to the locker room to be examined. With a shoulder separation, there are many possible outcomes, which helps to explain why Eberflus claimed on Monday that Fields was day to day but wouldn’t rule out it becoming a season-ending injury.
