Josh Allen played down the elbow injury he sustained late in the Jets’ defeat on Sunday, but it will have an impact on his training this week. Allen’s time will probably be restricted in the days before Buffalo’s Week 10 matchup with Minnesota, according to NFL Network Insider. Although Allen will have more testing to be sure, it’s currently thought of as a scenario to watch rather than one that would prevent him from playing against the Vikings.
Sean McDermott, the head coach of the Bills, told reporters on Monday, “We’re going through it. We’re weighing our alternatives. We’ll see how it develops. On Wednesday, I should be able to check in with you all.”
The quarterback had a difficult day during Buffalo’s 20-17 loss against the Jets at East Rutherford, New Jersey. He failed to complete a touchdown pass and threw two interceptions. Allen did manage to score twice on the ground, but in the dying seconds of the Week 9 defeat, he sustained an elbow injury that bothered him as he tried to inspire the Bills to a comeback victory.
