One of the Cincinnati Bengals’ top playmakers is slated to lose some time due to an injury, which comes just as the team seemed to be turning the turnaround. Due to a hip issue, Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase is not anticipated to play Monday night against the Cleveland Browns and is most likely to be placed on injured reserve soon.
Chase would have to miss at least four games if he were placed on injured reserve, but according to Garafolo, things are going in that direction. He also said there is no reason to believe this is a season-ending injury.
In Week 6’s victory over the Saints, Chase sustained the injury. According to Garafolo, he was tackled awkwardly in the end zone, and the injury has affected him ever since. Chase helped Cincinnati come back from a 10-point deficit by catching seven catches for 132 yards and two touchdowns in the second half of the game.
