Tulane, meanwhile, had a turnover percentage of 9.5 (better than their season average of 17.6).
The offensive glass should be a huge advantage for Southern University in this contest. The Jaguars rank 59th in offensive rebounding percentage (33.4 percent), while Tulane ranks 303rd in defensive rebounding percentage (68.0 percent) since last season.
The Green Wave won the only game against the Jaguars last season, 84-75. Tulane had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (27.0 vs. 8.6). Southern University, on the other hand, did a terrific job of converting from the free throw line (25-31; 80.6 percent).
