Slovakia is playing in a European Tournament for the first time since becoming an independent nation in 1993. Slovakia did play in the 2010 World Cup and beat Italy. Slovakia is led by Napoli playmaker Marek Hamsik. Wales will be playing in their first major tournament since 1958. Wales is led by Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale.

The two teams expected to challenge for the top spot in Group B meet in the opener as Russia takes on England. England was perfect in qualifying with 10 wins but there are still questions about the defense for England heading into Euro 2016. The team still has Wayne Rooney and they also have Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy. They also have an excellent goal keeper in Joe Hart. Russia also has concerns on defense and they don’t have as many scorers or the quality in goal of England.
