The Temple Owls just put together a lopsided 56-12 win over Bucknell. The team’s defense did its duty in the victory, restricting the Bison to only 190 passing yards and 21 rushing yards. Brandon Sanders had a productive showing in the loss for Bucknell, recording 115 yards on nine catches. As a group, the Owls collectively completed 36-of-46 passes for 507 yards, five touchdowns and one interception. Anthony Russo went 32-for-41 for 409 yards, four touchdowns and one interception while Todd Centeio was four-of-five for 98 yards and one touchdown. Jager Gardner (54 rushing yards on 10 attempts, two TDs) and Re’Mahn Davis (60 yards on nine carries, one TD) mounted the ground game in the win as Jadan Blue (10 receptions, 117 yards, one TD) and Branden Mack (nine catches, 130 yards) led the pass-catching attack.

It appears that the Owls might be the more disruptive team in the trenches, as their offensive line gave up just 18 sacks last season while their D-line logged 35 sacks. The Terrapins offensive line gave up 30 sacks last year and their defense sacked opposing QBs just 17 times.

When these two schools met last year, Temple won by three touchdowns 35-14.
