San Diego State enter this Saturday’s matchup having just earned a 28-21 win over Arizona State. The team’s defensive secondary allowed the Sun Devils to air it out for 341 yards and two touchdowns. Frank Darby was a bright spot in the loss for Arizona State, recording 127 yards on five catches. For San Diego State, Ryan Agnew completed 12-of-24 passes for 129 yards and one touchdown. Juwan Washington (138 rushing yards on 27 attempts, one TD) and Chase Jasmin (112 yards on 19 carries, one TD) mounted the running game as Kahale Warring (four receptions, 30 yards) and Ethan Dedeaux (two catches, 30 yards) led the pass-catching corps in the win.
Eastern Michigan has run the ball on 53.3 percent of its offensive possessions this year while San Diego State has an overall rush percentage of 67.6 percent. The Eagles have produced 127.3 rush yards per game and have five touchdowns on the ground this year. The Aztecs are averaging 206.3 rush yards per game and have six total rushing TDs.
