Devin Gentry (five receptions, 83 yards) and Penny Hart (three catches, 53 yards) shared the receiving duties in the defeat.
Memphis narrowly fell 22-21 to Navy. The team’s defense let the Midshipmen run for 264 yards on 73 rush attempts, including three rush TDs. Malcolm Perry was on a different level for Navy, putting up 166 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 36 attempts. For Memphis, Brady White completed 15-of-25 passes for 145 yards and one interception. Darrell Henderson (212 yards on 13 rush attempts, three TDs) handled the running game while Damonte Coxie (five receptions, 38 yards) and Pop Williams (four catches, 42 yards) led the pass-catching attack in the loss.
Each squad has a similar (53-47) run-pass ratio on the season. The Panthers have produced 117.5 rush yards/game and have just a single touchdown on the ground this year. The Tigers are putting up 278.5 rush yards per game and have six total rushing TDs.
If 2018 numbers are any indication, then the Tigers ought to hold an edge when it comes to RB efficiency.
