Jordan Cronkrite was on a different level for South Florida, putting up 158 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 26 attempts. As a group, the Cougars collectively completed 21-of-33 passes for 221 yards and one touchdown. Jaren Hall went 15-for-23 for 148 yards and one touchdown while Baylor Romney was six-of-10 for 73 yards. Hall (83 rushing yards on 16 attempts, one TD) and Emmanuel Esukpa (43 yards on 13 carries) handled the ground game in the defeat as Matt Bushman (five receptions, 44 yards) and Talon Shumway (four catches, 56 yards) led the pass-catching attack.
