Former UFC fighter Chris Lytle will take on Lewis Gallant at Bare Knuckle Boxing 9 at The Indigo at O2 Arena in London on January 13.
Lytle fought 20 times in the UFC and finished with a 10-10 record. He has never been knocked out in his MMA or boxing career. He is listed as a 2-1 favorite in boxing odds at BetDSI.eu against Gallant.
The fight between Lytle and Gallant will be one of 11 on the BKB 9 card with the action set to begin at 2 p.m. ET from London.

Lytle finished his UFC career in style in 2011, submitting Dan Hardy in the third round. Lytle finished with a career record of 31-18-5 in MMA action. Lytle is no stranger to boxing, as he is 13-1-1 in his boxing career with 7 knockouts. He won the Indiana Boxing Association Light Heavyweight title in 2003, and he successfully defended that title twice.
The question is how much Lytle has left at the age of 43. He has not seen any MMA action in more than six years.
Lytle fought a lot of very good MMA fighters during his career and was known as “Lights Out” because of his power. Lytle was once considered the UFC bonus king, as his fights oftentimes generated Fight of the Night bonuses. He was last seen battling Jake Shields at Submission Underground in 2016.
Lytle has given no indication he intends to make a return to MMA action, but he is going to face Gallant at BKB 9 in London.

Gallant has won three of his five bouts in Bare Knuckle Boxing. Gallant has shown good power, but he has also had a bit of a weak chin.

There is no question that Lytle is going to get the bulk of the betting attention from the public because he is the big name. In this case, it may be deserved attention because Gallant hasn’t been that impressive.
Gallant is just 3-2 in BKB and he hasn’t fought anyone with the type of power that Lytle has. Lytle is 43 years old, but we have seen many boxers fight well into their 40s and retain their power.
Lytle won’t have to move much in this fight, so it will be all about power and we know from his MMA career that Lytle has knockout power, hence his aforementioned nickname. Lytle would not have taken this fight if he wasn’t prepared, and it should go down as a knockout victory in his BKB debut against Gallant.
