The second-place vote-getter is Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes (87,384 votes), followed by tight end Travis Kelce (85,785), running back Saquon Barkley (83,947), and wide receiver Tyreek Hill (83,576) of the Miami Dolphins.
Seven first- or second-year players are presently in the lead in their conference for votes earned at their respective positions, with three of the top five vote-getters (Jefferson, Mahomes, and Barkley) being 27 years of age or younger. The Vikings garnered the most votes overall among all clubs. The current top five is completed by the Ravens, Chiefs, Dolphins, and Eagles.
