Tyreek Hill, a receiver for the Miami Dolphins, has put up staggering numbers in his debut season under Mike McDaniel’s coaching. Hill had seven catches for 143 yards and a score in Sunday’s 35-32 victory in Chicago. Hill has gone over 140 yards for the seventh time this season.
According to Hill’s Sunday statement to the Miami Herald, “I’m like a child in a candy store.” Hill has benefited from a ton of targets from Tua Tagovailoa this season, and it helps that McDaniel’s design produces wide-open plays for the quick wideouts. “I’m just having fun,” Hill said.
The Dolphins wide receiver has the most receiving yards in a season’s first nine games in the Super Bowl era with 1,104 yards and 76 receptions, leading the NFL. Over a season of 17 games, he accumulated 2,085 receiving yards. Johnson played in 16 games to set the NFL record, which stands at 1,964. Hill is on track to gain 1,962.67 yards over the course of 16 games.
