During the 2022 season, concerns about the quarterback position for the Steelers will surface as regularly as Pittsburgh’s defeats. Head coach Mike Tomlin should be as dependable in this regard. Tomlin had a clear response when asked whether the organization would reconsider using Mitchell Trubisky as the starter following Thursday night’s 29-17 defeat to the division rival Cleveland Browns. After the game, Tomlin stated, “I’m not in that mindset. I’m interested in listening to his audio, examining it as a whole, and determining how we can both improve. Therefore, the answer to that query is unambiguously no.” On paper, Trubisky’s performance wasn’t too horrible, especially in the first half. Trubisky had a flawless first half, completing 9 of 13 passes for 109 yards and one of Pittsburgh’s two scores on a 1-yard run, giving the Steelers a 14-13 lead at the intermission. He claims that his daily regimen has him in a nice groove.
