Offensive tackle Orlando Brown settled very easily during his one and only season with the Kansas City Chiefs. He was able to find a home at left tackle, where he’d always believed he belonged, and helped the Chiefs’ offensive line rebuild. We may say that his achievement exceeded our expectations. Brown appears to have demonstrated that he is deserving of a spot on the team.
Brown’s next step is to feel comfortable with a long-term deal. Brown and the Chiefs have until July 15 to work out a long-term agreement after receiving the franchise tag, and he appears to be on the verge of doing so.

Very assured, “When asked about his degree of confidence in a deal getting done, Brown stated on NFL Total Access with Mike Garafolo and Shaun O’Hara on Tuesday. “Especially in light of the changes that have occurred within our division, such as the types of defensive ends that have been brought in, the types of players, and so on. This isn’t the season to start with a backup left tackle. As a result, I’m certain that the Kansas City Chiefs will succeed.”
